Description

Flamed Mongolian Black Granite Paving Tiles Slab

A flamed Granite Slab is heated to high temperatures to cause the individual grains present in the stone to burst and change colors. When granite is used in exterior living spaces, such as a patio or deck, a flamed finish serves as a beautiful, unique option. These slabs also work well in an outdoor kitchen, as flamed granite is well-suited to uncovered, exterior applications. The result of this process is a rougher texture to the stone with a more faded and natural look. Typically, the flamed granite colors are going to be more muted and include shades of charcoal and tan.

The surface of absolute Mongolian black flamed granite tile, slab, or counter reacts with the chemical makeup of the stone after an intense flame is fired at the stone surface. Then white-hot sections craft a fantastic surface texture called flamed. Ultimately, the surface of absolute black granite becomes rough.

Floor and Wall Paving with Flamed Granite Slab is well-suited to uncovered, exterior applications. However, if you love the rustic beauty of flamed granite, you shouldn’t feel limited by how you can use it. Flamed granite paver stone can function exceptionally well in almost any room of your home.

1. Are granite paving slabs a good choice for patios?

Granite is a very good choice for patios, it is an extremely hard-wearing material and for this reason, you will see it being used in shopping centers, city promenades, hotel verandas, and increasingly a lot of domestic gardens.

Being a natural product the neutral colors of granite paving will blend in with and complement almost any garden or patio setting and won’t clash with the brickwork or rendered finish of a house, no matter the color.

2. Do granite paving slabs stain over time?

Because granite is a very hard non-porous stone it is not susceptible to staining, lichen growth, or moss.

In terms of weed growth what happens is that seeds fall into the joints of paving and weeds can sprout up from there, that said, there are plenty of suitable grouts available which combat this problem and keep it to a minimum.
